We don’t like frying bacon in the RV, it seems we can never get the smell out. We bought some bacon for collared greens and had a lot left over. We decided to try grilling it. Everything is better grilled and it seems like bacon is no exception.
It flared up quite a lot but we noticed that really didn’t hurt anything. The fat burned off and left us with very smokey tasting bacon. The fire was a bit too hot and some of the strips did curl up but most of them came out great. Next time I’d use fewer coals.
I’m having another BLT today and just heated the bacon in the microwave for a few seconds and its perfect. This might be our way to have bacon on the road.
